Inspired by the prospect of driving dance to the corners of London and getting everyone dancing, we are converting London’s iconic double-decker into a venue, live and interactive for dance!
Our ‘pop-up ballroom bus’ will create thrilling dance experiences in unusual places. The bus will travel all over London, stopping and transforming itself into a highly visual stage and interactive area in one.
The PA system will be pumping, professional companies will perform, workshops will be delivered and local community groups will be given the chance to showcase their talent to the surrounding audience - everybody will be dancing!
On the Bus, there will be dancing, music, films, a photography exhibition and lots of information about the five key London organisations involved in the delivery of Big Dance: East London Dance, English National Ballet, Greenwich Dance Agency, Sadler's Wells and Siobhan Davies Dance.
The T-Mobile Big Dance Bus will tour: May 21st to July 11th 2010 - The 6 weeks countdown and during Big Dance week.
